Spartanburg Grand Opening

For as long as anyone can remember, Spartanburg has been a one donut kind of town. But with more folks from around the country settling in the area, the demand for Dunkin' Donuts was too strong to deny. Local franchisee Kainos Partners opened the first Dunkin' store in Spartanburg, looking to Erwin-Penland to build awareness throughout the community. The results surprised even us -- a front-page, full-color story in the daily newspaper, live reports from the local TV station, and tons of other coverage. So much coverage, in fact, that they ran out of donuts.
