December 27, 2010 Norton Promoted At Erwin-Penland, Cole Hired
×GREENVILLE, S.C. (Dec. 27, 2010) – Erwin-Penland (EP), a division of The Interpublic Group’s Hill, Holliday and one of the five largest advertising and marketing firms in the Southeast, has promoted Lyn Norton to senior designer and hired Sarah Cole as an ad processing coordinator.
Norton has been promoted from graphic designer and will now serve on the Verizon Wireless direct marketing team. She has been with the agency for three years and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in studio art from the University of South Carolina Upstate.
Cole joins the ad processing team at EP after serving as branch office administrator for investment firm Edward Jones in Anderson, S.C. She is a graduate of the “Teach for America” program and a University of Kentucky alum, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English. December 10, 2010 Erwin-Penland Promotes Stone, Hires Turner
×GREENVILLE, S.C. (Dec. 10, 2010) – Erwin-Penland (EP), a division of The Interpublic Group’s Hill, Holliday and one of the five largest advertising and marketing firms in the Southeast, has promoted Lanford Stone to account executive and hired Chris Turner as a senior graphic designer.
Stone has been promoted from junior account executive and will continue to serve on the Verizon Wireless team managing national grand openings, and serving as the lead contact for the South Central region. She celebrates two years at EP and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations from the University of South Carolina.
Turner returns to EP as a senior graphic designer working primarily on the Denny’s team, where he leads other designers in the development of creative concepts and projects. He arrives back at EP after working as a senior graphic designer for Upward Unlimited, the world’s largest Christian-based sports program for children, located in Spartanburg. Turner holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in visual arts from Lander University.

December 6, 2010 Roach Earns Promotion At Erwin-Penland, Mudge, Gallagher and Ketchum Join Agency
×GREENVILLE, S.C. (Dec. 6, 2010) – Erwin-Penland (EP), a division of The Interpublic Group’s Hill, Holliday and one of the five largest advertising and marketing firms in the Southeast, has promoted Lauren Roach to senior account executive and hired Kathryn Mudge as a junior account executive, Matthew Gallagher as an account executive and Matthew Ketchum as a junior copywriter.
Roach has been promoted from account executive and will continue to serve on the Verizon Communications team as a primary point of contact between the client and the agency. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of South Carolina and has been at EP for two years.
Mudge joins EP on the Denny’s field marketing team, arriving from the marketing department at Naturally Fresh Inc. in Atlanta. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Clemson University.
Gallagher, who joins EP from the New York offices of sister agency Hill Holliday, will serve on the Verizon point-of-sale team. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Temple University.
Ketchum is a junior copywriter at EP and will write print and broadcast ads for various agency accounts. He received his copywriting degree from the Creative Circus in Atlanta.

Parker joins EP as a senior account supervisor after managing her own public relations firm and serving as a feature writer and photographer for TALK Magazine. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Parker has previously worked for agencies including Fitzgerald & Co., Hill & Knowlton, Price McNabb and Henderson Advertising. Formerly serving clients such as Cirque du Soleil, Nestle and Quikrete, she will add exceptional public relations talent to the agency’s list of accounts including Denny’s, regional economic development organization Upstate SC Alliance, and Barely There®, a shapewear sister brand of Hanes Brands Inc. Salisbury has been promoted from senior account executive, continuing to manage the localized print-on-demand and digital systems within the Verizon account. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communications and advertising from the University of South Carolina. Salisbury has been at EP for almost five years.
Smith joins EP after working as the event services coordinator at the County Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tenn. He will work with the Verizon experiential branding team by handling the responsibilities for several sponsorship venues and properties. Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Tennessee.
Hunt arrives at EP as a junior account executive providing support to the Verizon national direct team. She previously worked for G-Five Inc., in Greenville, S.C., as a sales consultant. Hunt is a Clemson University graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. Moats has been promoted to senior account supervisor, continuing to manage consumer advertising in the Midwest and South areas on the Verizon Wireless account. She celebrates four years at EP and is a graduate of Valdosta State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Quaranta is now associate director of direct marketing and will lead EP’s acquisition list research and procurement efforts across all agency clients. Next month will mark four years at EP for Quaranta. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of South Carolina Upstate.
Blaker has been promoted to graphic designer and will continue her work on the Advance America and Verizon Wireless accounts. She has been at EP since 2009 and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Furman University.
Lynch arrives at EP from St. John & Partners located in Jacksonville, Fla., where he served as an account manager and senior buyer for clients including Ford, Zaxby’s and Smoothie King. At EP, Lynch will serve as a senior print production manager on the Verizon Wireless account, managing various production assignments.

August 30, 2010 Erwin-Penland Named Public Relations Agency of Record for Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ‘N Biscuits
×GREENVILLE, S.C. (Aug. 31, 2010) – Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits, one of America’s fastest-growing restaurant chains, has named Erwin-Penland its public relations agency of record. Billings were not disclosed.
Erwin-Penland is a 250-person full-service marketing firm based in Greenville, S.C., and a division of The Interpublic Group’s Hill, Holliday. The firm’s PR division will handle consumer media relations, crisis communications and support sponsorships and community activities for the Charlotte, N.C., company, including the upcoming celebration of Bojangles’ 500th location.
The assignment comes on the heels of a highly successful project Erwin-Penland conducted this past spring to celebrate the opening of Bojangles’ 100th South Carolina restaurant. “Cruisin’ S.C.” was a 10-week tour of the Palmetto state that offered free Bojangles’ food, a chance to win one of 100 Bahamas cruises. Rose has been promoted from senior account supervisor to management supervisor after six years with EP. Rose is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications.
Milliman has served as a budgeting coordinator at EP for the past three years.
