August 4, 2010 Erwin-Penland Bolsters Its Roster with Three New Hires and Four Promotions

GREENVILLE, S.C. (Aug. 5, 2010) – Erwin-Penland (EP), one of the five largest advertising and marketing firms in the Southeast and a division of Interpublic Group’s Hill, Holliday, has hired Whitney Howell, Kristin Popham and Jarrell Williams. EP has also promoted Jeff Hoffman, Jeremy Tufts, Joy Howle and Richard Salais.

Before joining the Advance America and Food For Thought teams at EP as a junior account executive, Howell worked at DNA Creative Communications. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of South Carolina.

Popham comes to EP as a graphic designer on the Verizon Wireless team from Avery Marketing in Fairport, N.Y. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

At EP, Williams will serve on the Verizon Wireless consumer advertising team. He previously worked as an admissions counselor at Erskine College and is a University of South Carolina graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in business, double majoring in marketing and human resource management.

Hoffman continues his work on EP’s Verizon Wireless team after his promotion from account supervisor to account director. He has been with the agency for eight years having graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in experimental psychology.

Celebrating his fifth anniversary at EP, Tufts has been promoted from senior art director to associate creative director on the Verizon Wireless Sponsorship team. He is a graduate of Bob Jones University with a Bachelor of Science degree in graphic design.

Howle has moved from media supervisor to associate media director and continues her work on clients including Advance America, BI-LO and the Greenville Drive. Howle has been at EP for a total of eight years and received her Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Coastal Carolina.

Being promoted from senior art director to creative supervisor, Salais now serves on the Denny’s, Upstate S.C. Alliance and Food For Thought accounts. Salais will celebrate his 10-year anniversary at EP this year.
