Erwin-Penland Announces Five New Promotions

GREENVILLE, S.C. – May 13, 2009 – Erwin-Penland (EP) has taken noteworthy steps to strengthen its creative, accounting and advertising teams with the promotions of Darsey Culpepper, Monica Eslick, Peggy Loftis, Sarah Lopez and Jason Smith. EP is one of the largest advertising and marketing firms in the Southeast and a division of Interpublic Group’s Hill, Holliday.
Culpepper, a native of Albany, Ga., joined EP in 2007 as a graphic designer and studio artist working on the ScanSource, Fatz Cafe and the Verizon Wireless accounts. She has been promoted to assistant art director for Denny’s, The Greenville Drive and Greenville Humane Society. Culpepper received her bachelor’s degree in studio art from Furman University.
Eslick has been promoted to accounting manager and will be focusing her efforts on agency finance, including accounts receivable, payroll reporting and financial statement preparation. She has been at EP for nine years and won the EP Outstanding Newcomer of the Year Award in 2000, Special Achievement Award in 2003 as well as EP’s coveted Prism Award in 2003.
Loftis, who has been with EP for more than three years, has been named client billing manager and will oversee client billing. Her responsibilities will include working with the entire accounting team to ensure accurate, timely client billing. She will also manage billing functions to ensure clients are invoiced according to their specific contracts. Loftis has received EP’s Outstanding Newcomer of the Year Award in 2007 and the Ann Gwinn Integrity Award in 2008.
Lopez, a Spartanburg native, began her tenure at EP as an account executive for Advance America, Fatz Cafe and the Greenville Humane Society and will continue to work on these accounts as a senior account executive. She has been with EP for more than two years and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a concentration in marketing.
Smith has been promoted to group creative director after working as an associate creative director at EP for two years. He will be overseeing Milliken, ScanSource, The Greenville Drive and Denny’s creative needs and providing the client with the strategic and creative customer service they deserve. Smith has been awarded a Radio Mercury Award, a 2009 ADDY Judge’s Choice Award and a regional ADDY Award.
