Erwin-Penland Cleans House at Local ADDY Awards

February 23, 2008

GREENVILLE, S.C., Feb. 23, 2008 — Erwin-Penland dominated the 2008 Greenville ADDY Awards, winning overall Best of Show honors and scores of accolades across a broad range of clients and media. EP garnered Best of Show recognition of its “Candy Cane” poster promoting season ticket sales for the Greenville Drive minor league baseball team. Splatthemat.com, an engaging website promoting YES Essentials automotive floor mats, earned Best of Show in the new media category, while a sidewalk sign designed to tempt University of North Carolina students to visit EP client Firehouse Subs won Best of Show in the non-media category. The “American Workers” campaign for Advance America earned a Judges Choice Award, and EP’s pro bono campaign for United Way of Greenville County claimed a Mosaic ADDY Award for excellence in multicultural marketing. In addition, EP earned 24 Gold ADDY Awards and 53 Silver awards — 13 more than the total number of awards won by all other entrants. “It was a great showing for our creative output, but perhaps the most rewarding part of this year’s ADDY Awards was the diversity of work that was recognized,” said EP Executive Creative Directory Andy Mendelsohn. “We earned awards for virtually every client in the agency in practically every medium imaginable, which I believe is a testament to the strength not just of our creative team, but of the entire agency.”
