Erwin-Penland Biggest Winner At District 3 ADDY Awards
April 20, 2007
GREENVILLE, S.C., April 20, 2007 Erwin-Penland, South Carolina's largest fully integrated marketing and communications firm, earned more ADDY awards than any other agency in this year's District 3 ADDY competition, which includes North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The Greenville, S.C., shop garnered a total of 19 ADDY Awards - nine Gold, nine Silver and one Special Judges' award – more than double the next closest competitor. EP earned recognition for its work in television, print ads, outdoor ads and posters for a variety of clients, including Advance America, BMW Performance Center and United Way of Greenville County. "Since the arrival of Andy Mendelsohn as executive creative director two years ago, we've made a concerted effort to upgrade our creative offering – not to win more awards, but to help create more success for all of our clients," said agency President Joe Erwin. "That said, it's incredibly rewarding to see so much of our work earn such a high level of recognition against some of the finest creative talent in the country." Recognized as the advertising industry's equivalent to the Academy Awards, the ADDY Awards is a peer-reviewed competition to recognize outstanding creative achievement. All of EP's District 3 award winners will now advance to be judged in the national ADDY award competition, with winners to be announced at the American Advertising Federation's annual conference on June 9 in Louisville, Ky.
