Accounting Manager Greenville, SC
×We seek a Senior Accountant with 3-5 years of accounting experience with a strong proven track record in general accounting and the monthly close process in a publicly traded company.
A key aspect of the role is a willingness to be “hands-on” and very involved in the details and relates well with all levels of management. You must be able to work well independently as well as in a highly collaborative team environment. Effective leadership skills are essential. The person will report directly to the Accounting Manager.
Overtime is required on a periodic basis especially during month end and year end reporting, or as requested by the Accounting Manager.
Duties Include:
• Assist the Accounting Manager in the monthly close process
• Prepare journal entries
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations
• Assist the Accounting Manager in preparing forecasts and other month end reports

Requirements: Ideal candidates will have a B.S or B.A. degree in Accounting or Finance, 3-5 years of experience in public or corporate accounting is required, preferably in a fast paced environment, and be extremely technology/computer savvy.

How it works:
You’ll be assigned specific projects and responsibilities within all agency disciplines and teams, and you’ll have a mentor who will be your advisor and supervisor. You’ll work together with other interns on an eight-week long project for one of Erwin-Penland’s clients and present your findings to a group of agency leaders. You will enjoy opportunities to attend client meetings, vendor meetings, employee meetings, meetings about upcoming meetings and impromptu meetings. And yes, you’ll even have the good fortune to schedule a few meetings.
At the end of the eight weeks, we’ll tell you how you did and you’ll tell us what you thought about the whole experience. And while the rest of your classmates are folding jeans at the Gap all summer, you’ll go back to school with something relevant to add to the “Experience” section of your resume. You may even earn a few class credits for all your hard work.
Who we’re looking for:
Rising Juniors or Seniors with at least two years of college coursework under their belt. There’s no specific major, GPA cut-off or test score we’re looking for. But we like smart people who want to work in advertising or marketing.
