Lead Production Manager
Acts as a primary contact between account team and creative helping with daily projects. Provides detailed expertise and specific client production knowledge. Identifies ways to provide value to the client through economical solutions and savvy production management. Is an experienced negotiator, accurate file manager, demonstrates a sense of urgency, firm clear communicator.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Production Management either agency, print or pre-press related.
- Proficient with MAC and associated programs, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop etc.
- Experienced estimator, has a knowledge of pricing and paper specifications for specific clients they are assigned.
- A solid understanding of graphic design elements specific to their client assignments.
- Able to identify image issues, maintain consistent color, and work with Color Quality staff to correct before proofing stage whenever possible.
- Strong project management skills.
Duties:
- Act as an agent for the client, estimating projects effectively and fairly between suppliers.
- Makes the best purchase possible for the client based upon agency standards and client needs.
- Acts as an internal consultant to assist all other disciplines on the best way to meet client’s needs on budget and time constraints dictated.
- Works with account team members to insure budgets are maintained and client expectations are managed.
- Helps and supports teammates.
- Interfaces well with art directors and account management to move projects forward and manage expectations.
- Writes accurate, detailed purchase orders that help to insure the project is clearly explained to outside vendors.
- Able to accurately collect jobs for production that are error free, and review jobs collected others on the team and provide help.
- Insures that all jobs are produced to the best possible quality, at the best possible cost in a timely manner to meet both the client’s needs and specifications dictated by third parties such as publications and posting companies.
- Proofing of project is detailed and representative of approved final file sent to client.
- Works in the best interest of agency and clients.
- Ethical, firm and clear with suppliers.
