Graphic Designer

Responsible for assisting in the translation of concepts and layouts, into comprehensives, and final mechanical executions for print, interactive and collateral material – under creative supervision. Works as part of a team to achieve client and agency objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in graphic design, graphic communications or other related discipline
  • Must have portfolio demonstrating required level of creativity, design and technical proficiency
  • Working knowledge and understanding of current trends, techniques and mechanics, including photography, illustration, typography and printing
  • Mastery of all the basic functions required to be proficient in the required software applications: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop

Duties:

  • Consults with creative, the account group and studio management to obtain necessary information about client products or services
  • Assists Art Directors and/or Copywriters in creating advertising ideas for individual ads and campaigns after understanding the product or service, competitive marketing environment and strategic objectives
  • Builds necessary comprehensives and mechanicals for print, outdoor, collateral and direct mail and may assist in television, video, or interactive projects
  • Photo manipulation, photocomposition, color correction, simple illustration, type design
  • Stock photo and image searches
  • Self-proofing measures utilized to insure accuracy

Performance Measures:

  • Assignments are completed accurately, on time
  • Layouts, designs and mechanicals meet internal creative standards
  • Designs meet client satisfaction levels and adhere to required templates, campaigns or other restrictions and requirements
  • Shows initiative and ability to work well within the team structure
